Our planet calls for action, and at Konings, we take our responsibility seriously. By making conscious choices in our production processes and collaborating with sustainable partners, we reduce our CO₂ emissions. Electrification and the use of renewable energy help us minimize our ecological footprint. Step by step, we are working to reduce our carbon footprint—not only within our own operations but throughout the entire production chain.
Smarter with energy
Energy is essential to our processes and has a significant impact on our environmental footprint. That’s why we focus on two key areas: first, using energy more efficiently by minimizing waste and optimizing consumption; and second, increasing the share of renewable energy, including self-generated power from solar panels.
Every drop counts
As a water-intensive company, water is a precious resource and our most important ingredient. We reduce our water consumption, improve wastewater management, and explore innovative ways to reuse water. This ensures that water is not wasted.
Less waste, more re-use
We generate waste at our production sites and throughout the value chain. By optimizing processes and reducing waste, we minimize the creation of waste streams. For the remaining waste, we ensure reuse or recycling.

Our ful'fillers are the driving force behind our sustainability strategy. By giving them opportunities to learn and grow, we not only enhance their skills but also strengthen our organization.
